Intern to Writer/Producer is an internship where the intern will work with an entertainment power player who is a Producer, Author, Casting Director and Founder of the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Breaking into Hollywood. Assistant will perform check-in at events, perform a variety of industry research, write press releases and possibly other media/press-related tasks to help promote various books, films, TV and media projects, and industry events that are produced by the power player. This person will work closely with power player in developing key messaging. Also, any social media skills are useful but this is NOT a main focus. Intern will need to be able to work well independently, great writing skills and knowledge of business and marketing/publicity in general or a strong desire to research and learn these areas.
Requirements:
-Tech savvy and incredible communication skills
- Vibrant personality and good writing voice
-Detail-orientated and prompt with completing tasks
- Must be promptly responsive to text and email communication
- Must be excellent with using Microsoft word and ideally basic graphic programs, apps, Google docs, etc.
- Able to take direction and work independently
- Must have a passion for diversity and the entertainment industry!
