EVENT ASSISTANT
Job Description:
The Event Assistant will be responsible for assisting the BiH founder and board of directors with organizing events such as entertainment industry Q&As, panel discussions, workshops, festivals, etc. Also, maintain and establish new relationships with event venues such as bookstores, hotels, cafes, etc. In addition, this intern will support the BiH Founder with writing/producing projects from an administrative standpoint including, research, responding to emails on her behalf, participating in production phases, etc. This is a very unique position for someone who wants to build hand-on experience and strong contacts to further their own entertainment career.
Responsibilities:
-create event hand outs
-maintain event RSVPs and email out confirmations to attendees
-post events on various online community boards and industry websites
-research and secure sponsorships
-visit venues to secure for future events
-attend BiH events and check-in participants
Ideally should be available on Monday and Thursday evenings.
Additional responsibilities include researching online, scheduling and participating in board meetings by taking notes, preparing and typing up documents, and assisting with pre-pre-production for various creative projects, running errands and attending industry networking events in the evening. Major phone (via text) and email communication.

Requirements:
- Must have 24-HR access to computer and internet
- Reliable transportation & live in Los Angeles County
- Must be excellent with using Microsoft word, Excel and Outlook.
- Able to take direction and work independently
- Must be highly organized.
- Great interpersonal communication skills. Love people.
- Available to attend ALL events, which are mostly in the evenings/night.
- Must have a passion for diversity and the entertainment industry!
