Break the Floor Productions is one of the world's preeminent dance entertainment companies, encompassing touring theatrical productions, dance workshops, photo and video production, corporate events and apparel. With a broad range of business prospects and a reach of over 500,000 dancers annually, we are largely responsible for the transformation of dance entertainment.
We are currently seeking a Touring Photographer. This is a touring position for a contracted amount of time only (seasonal), although we do multiple tours and events year-round so full-time is definitely possible.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Taking photos of competition routines during convention events
-Taking Promotion shots during the weekend
- Selling photos and videos at convention events
- Fulfilling photo/video orders at convention events
- Providing superior customer service to event attendees
- Engaging customers and maximizing sales at each convention event
- Communicating inventory and supply needs to Photo/Video Manager
- Traveling contracted weekends between January and June
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and healthy work environment
Experience / Qualifications
- Prior Dance Competition Photography a definite plus
- Must reside in Los Angeles area
- Must have dance experience/knowledge
-Must have knowledge of Photoshop and Nikon camera equipment
- Strong organizational skills
- Must be comfortable with handling cash and credit transactions
- Must be comfortable in high pressure environments
- Must be a dedicated team player
- Must be available to travel Thursday mornings through Sunday evenings
- Passport required
-Must be a dedicated team player but able to work independently
