Search for Audio Engineer jobs in New York-NY
Responsibilities include: mixing and executing show cues, maintenance of all audio systems in the building, as well as performing preset/turnover/post-show duties in a safe, professional and timely manner. Members of the Audio Crew must maintain clear communication with Stage Manager and Supervisor regarding the status of the audio system.
Candidates should have a working knowledge of professional audio equipment, PA systems, and be an expert troubleshooter that can identify and repair problems related to the running of the show as they arise. Knowledge of digital mixing consoles is required. Experience running sound for theatre and mixing live music is strongly preferred.
Applicants should have a flexible schedule. Part timers are required to run a minimum of 1 show every other week but should expect 1 to 3 shows a week. Weekend and holiday availability is required, and availability for occasional daytime work is a plus. Part Timers must be willing to do more shows during the holiday season (Thanksgiving through New Years.)
