Publicity Assistant Intern needed for short-term project of promoting a PBS documentary H.U.S.H. about Hollywood's Uncovered Sexual Harassment. A very savvy professional is needed who wants to work in public relations. Intern will research media contacts and use their own to promote our press release, marketing images and trailer to try and secure more interviews on our documentary. The producer and director of the film is also an Author, Casting Director and Founder of the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Breaking into Hollywood. Publicity Assistant will write press releases, research press contacts, send out press releases, and attempt to schedule media interviews to help promote the documentary. This person will work closely with power player in developing key messaging. Also, any social media skills are useful but this is not a main focus. Intern will need to be able to work well independently, great writing skills and knowledge of publicity and marketing in general or a strong desire to research and learn this area to assist with the publicity of this film.
Requirements:
- Must be familiar with publicity and marketing
- Vibrant personality and good writing skills
- Must have 24-HR access to computer and internet
- Must be excellent with using Microsoft word and ideally basic graphic programs
- Able to take direction and work independently
- Great interpersonal communication skills. Love people.
- Must have a passion for diversity and the entertainment industry!
