Back Roads Entertainment is a successful unscripted TV production company based in NYC. Our credits currently include Joking Off (MTV), Big Bad BBQ Brawl (Cooking Channel) and Lake Life (DIY). We are currently looking for Production Finance interns with a passion for reality TV who are available a minimum of 2 days and up to 3 full days a week.
Primary responsibilities of our interns will be to assist the finance department with cash flow, reconciliation, and learn from the accounting department on the intricacies of production finance. Interns will participate in a 13-week lesson plan that covers all aspects of the TV production process, from development to production to post-production. The curriculum will include weekly classes from Back Roads employees as well as weekly pitch sessions with the entire development and casting staff.
Applicants are REQUIRED to obtain school credit for this internship. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, MovieMagic, IndiePay, and QuickBooks not required but encouraged.
