Full Time Job
The Director, Talent Engagement will be charged with developing and executing a senior diverse pipeline and talent engagement strategy in support of Viacom’s key recruiting channels. This role is responsible for identifying high quality, senior diverse talent communities, curating and tracking internal and external events, and strategically introducing talent to the business.
This is both a strategic and tactical hands-on role responsible for supporting internal efforts to raise Viacom’s brand in the talent marketplace and innovatively accelerating our progress with diversity hiring at executive levels. You will work consultatively with the TA team, HR and business partners to advance our efforts leading a workforce diversity transformation.
The ideal candidate has a deep passion for workforce diversity; constantly thinks about how to introduce new methods and ideas for identifying and engaging top talent; and successfully enlists support from the business for talent attraction, networking and workforce diversity engagement initiatives. This candidate also possesses deep reach with diverse talent networks and established relationships with strategic partners and diversity-focused organizations; has the drive, motivation and passion to deliver outstanding client and candidate experience, and enjoys and appreciates working alongside top recruitment professionals in a dynamic staffing environment.
Responsibilities
include but not limited to:
• Identify and generate targeted talent lists, with a focus on critical recruitment channels in Creative (Marketing, Development and Production) and Technology/Digital (Multiplatform Tech, Data Strategy & Research, Advanced Analytics)
• Identify and create strategic partnerships and networks within the entertainment industry, and other relevant industries, to attract top diverse talent
• Curate and execute Viacom-hosted talent engagement opportunities, including creating new engagement frameworks
• Partner with Office of Global Inclusion/Corporate Communications/Responsibility to enhance Viacom’s standing within diverse communities, leveraging social media, strategic partnership and outreach events/partnerships
• Support creation of targeted executive referral process for the purpose of creating a pipeline of senior diverse talent
• Establish and manage relationships with appropriate vendors for event execution
• Establish appropriate goals and metrics, monitors impact and modifies activities/action plans to enhance performance, and prepares and presents reports on goal attainment in consultation with the Talent Acquisition leadership team
• Special Projects as needed and other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
• 10 years relevant work experience in the human resources discipline with working knowledge of talent acquisition and talent recruitment best practices
• Demonstrated ability to build and execute innovative sourcing and diverse talent engagement strategies, including setting the agenda, selling the vision and executing programs with lasting impact
• Experience collaborating with key resources, HR and business stakeholders, influencing decisions and developing, implementing and monitoring metrics to achieve strategic goals
• Demonstrated project management skills
• Demonstrated ability to effectively influence with senior level executives
Additional Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Demonstrated personal accountability and integrity.
• Demonstrated ability to use data to influence change with clients and build strong ROI cases for investment of resources (funding, etc.
• Strong passion for advancing the human capital agenda of the organization.
• Deep interest in the media and entertainment sector
