Assemble Sound is a music studio, artist residency, and music licensing company based out of Detroit. We are hiring an Operations Assistant for our Detroit studio. The Operations Assistant will work alongside the management team, including the General Manager, the Licensing and Supervision Director, and the Studio Director. The responsibilities and requirements are as follows:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Bookkeeping in Quickbooks
All invoicing and payment retrieval
Sales and Expense tracking
Building Sales and Expense Reports for Management
Coordinating with external Accountant
Office / Building Management
Manage daily and long-term maintenance of Assemble Sound building and property, including finding/coordinating contractors
Coordinating any sort of responsibility delegation among studio residents
Managing office supplies
Events Management
Manager for any events at Assemble Sound
Studio Management
Manage studio calendar, including all uses of the building
Receive and process inbound studio requests
Coordinate technical needs between artists and studio director
Collect studio payments
Administrative Assistance
Properly routing inbound requests
Scheduling for management (when needed)
REQUIREMENTS:
Demonstrated work experience in bookkeeping and/or background in accounting is preferred
Project management experience or a demonstrated project management skillset
Familiarity with music recording equipment or ability to learn quickly is a must
Experience working with or hiring contractors in Metro Detroit is a plus
Proficient in Google Docs, Microsoft Office, gmail
Dependability and high attention to detail
Extremely organized
Effective communicator, both written and spoken
Very good at working with different types of people and personalities
Able to act as an authoritative figure in a group environment (''Type A'' personality)
Able to adapt in any work environment
Self-motivated and needing little guidance
