Full Time Paid Internship
Internship Requirements:
• Must be undergrad student (Sophomore/Junior preferred) currently enrolled in an accredited college or university. (If you do not meet the internship requirements, please do not apply.)
• Minimum of 20 hours per week.
Compensation: Minimum wage
Term: April – October 2018
Responsibilities:
• Assist with the planning of summer youth baseball and softball camp schedule
• Help develop an online marketing strategy for dbacks.com/academy
• Maximize the departmental social media channels to help promote camps
• Maintain and inventory baseball equipment and premium items
• Organize camper info and by-location camp rosters
• Participate in all camp coach-training events
• Facilitate online and inbound phone camp registrations
• Assist with grassroots marketing efforts
• Lead the individual camp check-in processes
• Develop the end-of-summer D-backs Academy Skills Challenge at Chase Field
Qualifications:
• Preferred majors are Sports Management, Marketing, Communications, or Business
• Preferred baseball or softball playing and/or coaching experience
• Must be passionate and motivated to pursue a career in the sports industry
• Must be a self-motivated team player who thinks creatively
• Must be a multi-tasked, detailed, and customer service oriented individual
• Must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and great listening skills
• Must be computer proficient in Microsoft Office
• Must be available to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Must be 18 years of age or older
