Full Time Unpaid Internship
Intern Requirements
Must be a junior, senior, postgraduate student, or within a year post graduation obtaining a degree from an accredited college or university. (If you do not meet the internship requirements, please do not apply.)
College credit preferred but not mandatory
Minimum of 20 hours per week
Term:
• January – October 2018
Primary Duties:
• Assisting in the Special Projects department with involvement in all aspects of D-backs Authentics, the official retail source of D-backs’ game-used merchandise, such as jerseys, bats, balls and caps.
• Assist with collection of game-used items from clubhouse and other areas
• Involvement with authentication of collected items
• Work with Major League Baseball authenticators to collect items during D-backs home games
• Assist with inventory process of all game-used and team-issued items
• Maintain and set up the D-backs Authentics ballpark location prior to each game
• Facilitate weekly online merchandise auctions on dbacks.com/auction
• Assist with merchandise sales to customers outside of the ballpark via phone and online
• Involvement with D-backs Authentics social media postings and promotions
Qualifications:
• Must be passionate and motivated to pursue a career in the sports industry
• Must be a self-motivated team player who thinks creatively
• Must be a multi-tasked, detailed, and customer service oriented individual
• Must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and great listening skills
• Must be computer proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
• Must be available to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Once selected, you must enroll in an Internship course at your university and receive college credits
• Strong team work attitude
• Ability to perform physical labor
