Part Time Unpaid Internship
Intern Requirements
Must be a junior, senior, postgraduate student, or within a year post graduation obtaining a degree from an accredited college or university. (If you do not meet the internship requirements, please do not apply.)
College credit preferred but not mandatory
Minimum of 20 hours per week
Term:
• January – October 2017
Primary Duties:
• Assisting in the Baseball Outreach and Special Projects department
• Help compile Youth Jersey Program orders and prepare them for league pickup (Jan-March)
• Maintaining equipment and premium items including packing and inventory control
• Assembling coaches’ packets
• Phone registrations for camps
• Assisting with various projects and events
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Assist with collection, inventory and sales of game used equipment
• Assist with quality control of ballpark operations involving concessions and merchandise
• Involvement with sustainability efforts and initiatives
• Proactive grassroots marketing to little league/youth oriented programs
Qualifications:
• Must possess baseball or softball playing and/or coaching experience
• Must be passionate and motivated to pursue a career in the sports industry
• Must be a self-motivated team player who thinks creatively
• Must be a multi-tasked, detailed, and customer service oriented individual
• Must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and great listening skills
• Must be computer proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
• Must be available to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Once selected, you must enroll in an Internship course at your university and receive college credits
• Strong team work attitude
• Ability to perform physical labor
