Amazon has spent nearly two decades revolutionizing the way we consume music, movies and entertainment-and now, the company is changing the way movies and TV shows are being made and distributed. Amazon Studios, the film and series production arm of Amazon.com that produces original series that are distributed on Amazon Prime and feature films that are distributed theatrically before premiering on Amazon Prime is seeking a highly-intelligent, high-judgment, self-motivated coordinator to support the Head of the Film PR team. This will include general administrative duties such as, maintain the executive's busy calendar, schedule conference calls and meetings, create and manage executive and talent schedules, book travel, create and track purchase orders and oversee payment of vendors and expenses. This individual will be based in Santa Monica and report to the Head of Movies PR.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Qualifications:
2 years of experience in the TV or Movies industry
Experience assisting or something similar
Bachelor's degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with billing processes
Experience with heavy scheduling
Willingness to problem solve
Deep knowledge of the entertainment industry/publicity
Exceptional verbal and written communications skills and attention to detail
Excellent judgment, particularly in narrow timeframes
A passion for pop culture and entertainment
Willingness to work hard and roll up sleeves to get work done, even when at times it is outside the scope of the job
Creating new vendors and purchase orders; PO Troubleshooting
Liaison with other department coordinators to help with executive schedules and needs-such as, but not limited to, travel, premiere tickets, festival coordination, etc.
Familiarize yourself with the ongoing timelines of each film
Coordinate travel for assigned film titles (cars, hotels, greeters, flights)
Update talent schedules
Update weekly PR team agendas
Updating team calendar
Manage internal updates
