Job Description:
The ASCAP Transformation Management Office (TMO) was formed in early 2015 with the purpose of facilitating the transformation of ASCAP to meet the future needs of ASCAP's members and licensing partners. The TMO is responsible for coordinating the execution of ASCAP's numerous near term and long term strategic initiatives covering both core business growth and new business launches. This coordination includes managing all aspects of implementing the portfolio of strategic initiatives across the products and plans, and ensuring initiatives are delivered within the defined scope, quality, time and cost requirements.
As a TMO Project Manager you will support initiative teams with skills in process excellence, project management, facilitation, problem solving, accelerating transformation and value creation to drive toward required outcomes. You will schedule, manage, and track project progress, identify and facilitate the resolution of issues and impediments, report project status and assist in the preparation of status dashboards that will be used to communicate project health to both executives and the ASCAP Board of Directors.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The TMO Project Manager will be responsible for the following:
• Define project objectives & deliverables
• Identify stakeholders
• Define working teams
• Create Project Charter
• Develop the detailed plans & timelines
• Organize & facilitate all project meetings
• Drive the project team to meet the project objectives within the defined timeframe
• Actively track actuals against budget on a regular basis
• Identify & escalate budget related issues promptly
• Identify risks proactively and manage issues as they arise
• Manage all changes to scope, cost and schedule
• Responsible for all key project documentation
Requirements:
• PMP certification and Bachelor's degree
• 3-5 years experience with project management
• Extensive experience with project management software
• Experience driving change through effective project management
• Experience facilitating and working with cross-functional teams
• Experience with PowerPoint, Visio, Lucid Charts and/or other presentation & reporting tools
• Experience working within or having exposure to Product Management and Agile Development environments desired, but not required
• Must have excellent multi-tasking, organizational, written and verbal skills
• Must have high standards for completeness and accuracy of all work products as well as an obsessive attention to detail
