OVERVIEW OF ROLE -
IFC TV's Director of Production Administration will supervise physical production and administrate contractual payments for all IFC Originals. This individual interacts with third party production entities that produce IFC's Original Programming to ensure they are compliant with network production guidelines, tracking on schedule, and delivering on budget. Additionally, this position works with Finance to track all development WGA script payments, create and maintains IFC's Development budget, establish production payment schedules, facilitate all outgoing contractual payments, and assist with budget vetting of new and returning series. The position will also be responsible for applying, securing, and implementing state tax incentive programs and must have in depth knowledge of union and guild agreements. Maintenance of day-to-day departmental budgets, reporting and oversight of timely outgoing payments to Production partners will also be required.
Additional responsibilities include:
Determine cash flows and payment schedules for all productions.
Supervise the application and manage the process for all tax incentives from pre-production through audit.
Supervise Cost Report meetings with Production Executives for each production.
Supervise all contract administration (internally & with production companies) for IFC Originals to ensure all Production Company Payments occur in a timely manner.
Track and facilitate all Above the Line Payments, Talent Deals, and guild payments when applicable.
Assess with the collection of Wrap materials from each Production to ensure all delivery materials (contracts, insurance, financials, etc) are completed per IFC's guidelines.
Work closely with IFC finance to report budget tracking on a regular basis.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
•Track and facilitate all IFC WGA Development Script payments.
•Supervise production schedules, budget cost reporting, contract administration, and make sure all productions follow networks production guidelines & safety protocol.
•Provide series specific residual information to AMCN Residuals department.
• Supervise the collection of wrap materials - Responsible for the collection and assessment of Production Wrap materials from all Productions.
•Budget research and analysis - work with the VP of Production to review and analyze budgets that are submitted from Production Companies.
•Work with Manager, Production Administration to track and process all outgoing payments.
•Marketing integrations - Liaise with Production Companies on marketing integrations.
•Production tax incentives - Maintain database of tax credit incentives offered around the country. Handle and Coordinate all aspects of the tax credit application process.
•Create and maintain master production calendar for all IFC Productions.
KEY MEASURES OF SUCCESS
Financial metric(s):
Cost containment and quality control on the production of all IFC Original Programming. Execution of Original Productions within budgetary goals for each series. Ensure vendors & partners are funded/paid in a timely manner to maintain our good standing with outside relationships. Supervise all WGA script payments for all IFC Development projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
Management Skills Ability to cultivate productive relations with industry contacts externally & internally. Fiscally responsible. Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills. Ability to manage multiple projects Pragmatic, highly organized and attention to detail Ability to remain nimble in revision of plans to shifting priorities. Problem solver
Technical/Functional Competencies In depth understanding of production budgeting for scripted series and development. (Must have a background working on Scripted content.) Thorough knowledge of industry standards Strong knowledge of Movie Magic Budgeting & Microsoft Office. Strong negotiating skills. Knowledge and experience with union/guild agreements
Key Experiences/Achievements Seven years experience working in Production Management on fully scripted series. College degree required.
