72 Music Management is an artist management company with five artists in Americana/Roots music crossing the genres of Americana, Blues, folk, roots-rock and funk. 2017 marked an exciting year for the company as two albums managed garnered a GRAMMY Nomination and one won a GRAMMY Award for Best Traditional Blues Album. That album is also up for 3 Blues Music Awards including Album of the Year.
Two 72MM artists on the same project, were nominated for a GRAMMY Award for Best Blues Album and for four Blues Music Awards (winning two) in 2014-15 and in mid-2016 we garnered an award for a box set we co-produced and managed for Best Historical Postwar Release by the Living Blues Awards Critics Poll.
The artists of 72MM are successful recording and touring artists, one inductee in the Blues Music Hall of Fame. The artists have collaborated with artists, producers, and writers who are Grammy winners, inductee's of the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame, and Songwriter's Hall of Fame. Two of the artists have combined for 17 Blues Music Awards with both having won the coveted B.B. King Entertainer of the Year Award. Clients of 72MM have charted several times on the Billboard charts but it was a first for a 72MM project in 2016 up to #5 on the Billboard Blues chart and #21 on the Billboard New Artist Albums Chart.
We work with all aspects of the industry including record labels, distributors, publishers, agencies/agents, advertising agencies, venues, publicists, record promoters, and more.
Having had experience interning with big companies, working with a smaller boutique such as 72MM lends itself to a more hands on experience. We make a point to share the reasons for most tasks and are happy to answer questions about the business or our daily interactions at any time. We hope that anyone who works for 72MM will walk away having honed in on already existing skills and having learned a wealth of new information.
