As Marketing Events Coordinator, you will oversee organization and project management of external and internal events for 11 Honore, including marketing, sales and employee events. You will ensure events are successful and cost-effective, paying attention to budget and time constraints.
An event manager is, above all, a project manager who understands marketing and promotional techniques. The person who excels in this role will be enthusiastic, full of fresh ideas, and armed with the organizational skills required to not leave anything about an event to chance.
Responsibilities:
Plan marketing, sales, and employee events from start-to-finish according to requirements, target audience and objectives
Support selling events (such as trunk shows) in collaboration with the Sales Director and VP of Marketing, including advertising the various events and aiding in planning initiatives
Coordinate all operations via project management techniques that allow for effective checklisting and easy cross-functional transparency, and follow-up with teams internally and externally to ensure deadlines are being hit
Proactively collaborate - always be eager to provide suggestions to enhance the event's success
Prepare budgets and ensure adherence, while keeping track of all receipts
Coordinate with team on guest list, including management of sends and RSVPs
Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers (invitations, gifts, venues)
Oversee hiring of personnel (servers, sales associates, drivers, etc) when necessary, and supervise all event staff/vendors
Lead promotional activities for the event coordinating with key stakeholders (Marketing & Social)
Approve all aspects before the day of the event
Ensure event is completed smoothly and step up to resolve any problems that might occur
Analyze the event's success and prepare reports via structured post-mortem reviews with key stakeholders
Create a rolodex of business contacts so that we aren't chasing emails every event - this includes press, influencers, celebs and stylist
Understand that the role doesn't stop with event management - you'll need to collaborate across all 11H teams to drive toward key company-wide strategic initiatives
Help us cultivate a culture of collaboration, accountability, kindness, and fun
Requirements
Proven experience as event manager
Skilled in project management
Outstanding communication and negotiation ability
Excellent organizational skills
A knack for problem-solving
Customer-delight orientation
Travel as necessary to company events
Be a flexible and adaptive team player, particularly as it pertains to unique needs or requests that lie outside of this job description. All 11H roles and responsibilities will continue to shift and evolve over time as the needs of our business change
