Full Time Job
10th Street Entertainment is currently seeking an organized and proactive Director of Touring / Tour Coordinator with previous experience putting together, overseeing, and settling tours. In this position, you would be responsible for researching, organizing, budgeting, contracting, confirming, notifying and insuring a tour so that it is ready to be marketed and executed.
Responsibilities include:
Identifying and executing packaging opportunities for artists through promoters, agents, managers, and business managers
Working with agents to maximize opportunities on every show including:
- Production allowances
- Back end splits
- Merch rates
- Guarantees
- Ticket prices
- Ticket scaling
- Show costings
- Advertising budgets
Putting budgets together with business manager and tour / production manager
Work in tandem with manager(s) to get budgets approved by band and business manager
Putting together touring projections for fiscal / calendar year
Collecting commissions from business managers in tandem with 10th Street finance department
Insuring all tours in conjunction with band business managers and 10th Street finance department
Developing and maintaining global relationships with:
- Promoters
- Agents
- Managers
- Artists
- Business Managers
Use global relationships to assist in the following:
- Putting together tours and tour packages
- Entering new markets
- Getting younger/newer artists on support tours where applicable
- Getting younger/newer relevant artists to support our acts where applicable
- Maximizing money
- Signing new acts
Working with the tour marketing department & managers to make sure the following is implemented:
- On sale convergence
- Integration with album
- Integration with merchandise
- Ticket links on all social media / websites
- Advertising plans
- All bands on the package are participating in the marketing
- Promoter fund has been established
Qualities needed to be successful in this role:
Ability to put together worthwhile tour packages
Ability to read and understand contracts, offers and costings
Familiarity with creating and amending budgets for a tour
Extensive network of people across the industry spectrum
Understanding of world travel and geography
Strong background and knowledge of markets around the world & foreign currency
Continually growing relationships with & knowledge about vendors/rental companies/suppliers around the world
Understanding the process of binding insurance
Exceptional communication & organizational skills
A minimum of 3 years previous touring or agency experience REQUIRED
