DESCRIPTION:
''America Reports'' is seeking a skilled, experienced and hardworking Producer to join the team. The ideal candidate is detail oriented and has an interest in breaking news. You are a strong writer & excellent under pressure. As a Producer on ''America Reports'', you will be responsible for executing the show lead, writing live scripts during breaking news and conducting in-depth research. The Producer will serve as a backup to the Line Producer, on occasion.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Pitch guests, stories and segment ideas
• Write guest intros, readers and teases
• Select elements such as sound, video clips, and graphics to tell a story
• Monitor multiple sources for new developments
• Build compelling and concise lower thirds throughout the hour
• Serve as backup Line Producer when needed
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• 4+ years of professional experience in a live television control room
• Strong and accurate writing
• Line producing training
• Thorough knowledge of current events and politics
• Experience crafting a rundown
• Experience writing/producing/editing news packages
• Dalet training
