+1 Records is looking for a new A&R Scout team member!

Artists and Repertoire, or ''A&R,'' is the division of a record label that is responsible for talent scouting and the Artistic and commercial development of the recording Artist. It also acts as a liaison between the Artist and the record label.

The role of an A&R Scout is to find multiple unsigned Artists that the label signs to an exclusive recording agreement.

The responsibilities of an A&R Scout include:

• Locating, identifying, and presenting unsigned Artists to the label for consideration to sign such unsigned Artists to an exclusive recording agreement.
• Reaching out to unsigned Artists and managers and facilitating an introduction to the label.
• Providing feedback on new songs and related visual assets from all Artists signed to the label.
• Communicating and coordinating feedback on music and visuals directly with Artists and managers for any specific projects the label assigns to you.
• Overseeing the recording process of any Artist you find that the label signs, including communication and feedback with the Artist and their representatives about their music and related visual assets and coordinating the delivery of the relevant materials, including demos, production, mixing, and mastering of songs and related visual assets and content.
• Assisting with marketing and promotion of any Artist you find that the label signs.
• A&R Scouts may also serve as Project Managers for Artists you find that the label signs.

We're looking for the following skills and experience:

• Spends significant amount of time listening to new music, including attending live concerts.
• Ability to identify artists very early with potential for commercial success.
• Eclectic music taste spanning multiple genres, especially Indie, Alternative, R&B, Hip Hop, and Pop music.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Confident approach and ability to work with many different departments, levels, and personalities.
• Ability to work well in a small team environment and independently.
• Outstanding organizational skills.

Candidates may be based anywhere in the United States, with a preference for New York, Los Angeles, and Atlanta.
