Job Title: MTV PRODUCTION – ASSISTANT PRODUCER

WHAT IS THE ROLE
Hosted Assistant Producer
Which means. . .
MTV UK Production is looking for an Assistant Producer to work on a range of talent fronted music and entertainment shows that air across our linear TV channels digital and social platforms. Applicants must have a proven track record in long-form music / entertainment programming and demonstrate strong editorial and organizational skills. Can self-shoot to a high standard; edit; produce; script for talent of all genres and boast an encyclopaedic knowledge of mainstream music, celebrity and popular culture.
Key responsibilites:
• Assist lead Producer in all aspects of production
• When instructed, act as lead production person when recording with talent, ensuring contributors are briefed and all members of the crew act in professional and courteous manner at all times
• Operate second camera on studio / on-location shoot days, when required
• Oversee edits / edit producing & ensuring all offline / online edits are delivered within pre-agreed deadlines
• Write scripts to a very high standard, ensuring content is accurate & engaging to MTV core audience • Liaise with production management when sourcing locations / props / filming permissions etc.
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure programmes are delivered as briefed
• Liaise with Hosted Producer to ensure the completion of all necessary delivery paperwork at the point of programme delivery
• Be a pro-active creative voice in editorial and forward planning meetings
• Continually evaluate existing content and develop new format / strand ideas
