ABOUT THE ROBOT COMPANY:
Hardwired with the SpringHill mission of empowerment, The Robot Company is a brand consultancy. At its core, it is programmed to support our partners through advertising and marketing that spans campaigns, content, social, public relations, and physical and virtual experiences. The Robot Company is based in New York City, with requirements to be onsite twice a week (Mondays and Wednesdays) per the Company's policy.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
Seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Brand (Client Services) to join the team at our brand consultancy, Robot. You have your finger on the pulse of culture (music, fashion, and lifestyle), stay up-to-date on emerging trends, and have strong expertise in and understanding global soccer, women's sports, and the NBA. Your ability to masterfully lead a team towards gold and proactively identify opportunities that help get ahead is what will contribute to your success at Robot.
REPORTS TO: Director, Brand
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Drive the execution vision and roadmap for all projects you lead to ensure internal teams are working seamlessly and efficiently towards all milestones and deliverables
• Build rapport and trusted relationships with Brand Partners, based on expert counsel, including day-to-day brand leaders and internal senior management
• Discover opportunities stemming from cultural, social, and digital trends that can inspire richer opportunities and moments that Robot's Brand Partners can own
• Champion cultural insights and tap into the larger Robot team on the application of those insights to drive storytelling around key strategies and activations to the best creative output solutions
• Partner with strategy and creative leads to develop cultural strategies and creative outputs grounded in Brand Partner goals and objectives, while marrying Robot's expertise in sports, entertainment, and cultural marketing
• Deliver key milestones and benchmarks for team members to use as they drive pieces of strategy, ensuring brand partner expectations are aligned
• Collaborate with the marketing team, brand partners, and other company partners to find opportunistic cross-company offerings and develop the best possible creative solutions
• Oversee junior staff to ensure deliverable timelines and outstanding work quality are being met
• Maintain consultancy accountability by delivering program recaps, reporting, and insights that help improve upon and expand future opportunities
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or Business
• 7 years' of marketing experience, which includes advertising or marketing agency experience
• Experience in developing brand strategy and creative ideas connected to the overall strategy
• Extensive background in and knowledge of men's and women's basketball and soccer and associated cultures Knowledge or experience of working with leagues/governing bodies is a plus
• Wide-ranging production experience across a variety of mediums
• Ability to strategically structure a project to get to the highest level of work
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects from inception through to execution while adhering to strict deadlines
• Innate curiosity for the world around you with an ear to the ground on all things sports and culture
• Experience managing budgets for a business unit, as well as process and ops in a highly matrixed organization
• Experience using social and digital media
• Excellent writing, attention to detail, and presentation skills
• Self-starter that knows how to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Word, Google Suite, and Keynote
$100,000 - $115,000 a year
