Location: Nashville (3 days in office / 2 days work from home)
Experience: up to 1 year and/or multiple internships in entertainment PR space
A Publicity Assistant at The Oriel Co must be able to multi-task under breaking deadlines and have a solution-oriented mindset to stay one step ahead of all outcomes. An assistant must also be detailed-oriented, have excellent communication and writing skills, including mastering press releases, media alerts and boilerplates. All Oriel employees maintain the highest level of confidentiality and can keep up with a fast-paced office and remain composed in high-pressure environments.
Core tasks include:
• Assist and manage writing tasks including press releases, media alerts and boilerplates for client roster.
• Assist with company social media calendar and posts for client roster.
• Conference client phone interviews.
• Coordinate travel and reconcile expenses for client billbacks.
• Develop client and media materials in conjunction with the senior PR team.
• Development of client press schedules.
• Draft media interview/performance requests.
• Facilitate delivery of press clippings and reports to clients.
• Help manage media contact lists.
• Organize press updates to clients.
• Pitch and coordinate digital and tour press for client roster.
• Managing client gifts.
• Monitor magazines, websites, client socials and google alerts for client news.
• Miscellaneous company tasks and office operations responsibilities.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• up to 1 year and/or multiple internships in entertainment pr space
• Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and social media platforms.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team.
• Discretion and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Excellent follow through with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
