Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment is seeking a part-time Accounting Assistant/Office Manager, to work Monday - Friday, 25 Hours/Week (hours & days are flexible and can be modified). The role will report to the Accounting Manager and provide support in all accounting department & office management functions.
Work Location: In Office
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Reconcile, process & record receipt of checks, wires, & ACH payments from buyers and clients to inEntertainment bookings.
• Bank deposits
• Process client and related third party disbursements.
• Monthly bank reconciliations
• Assist with preparation of monthly receivables reporting
• Accounts Payable: Enter & pay vendor invoices
• Petty cash account management
• Prepare monthly credit card expense reports for all cardholders. Reconcile & verify reports/receipts submitted. Prepare journal entry.
• Assist with the month end closing process.
• Accounting & HR Filing
• Assist with ad hoc projects
• Purchasing of office supplies purchasing
• Reporting all office equipment (computer/internet/phone) issues to the IT Director & coordinating communications/repairs.
• Coordinating with landlord on managing office spaces (ie reporting maintenance issues, key copies, scheduling repairs etc)
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred
• 1+ years of general accounting experience within an office preferred
• Previous experience within entertainment or banking highly preferred
• Experience with Quickbooks Online
• Experienced Excel skills required, general knowledge of Adobe Acrobat & Google Workspace (Gmail, Sheets, Drive, Calendar, Docs)
• Optional (but preferred): Experience with inEntertainment or related talent agency receivable software
Skills
• Basic understanding of GAAP and General Ledger Accounting
• Extremely detail oriented, organized & able to work independently and accurately under general supervision
• Technology and accounting systems savvy
• Ability to utilize general office equipment
• Good time management, problem-solving and decision making skills
• Excellent organizational skills and able to prioritize & manage multiple projects
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment, able to respond to changing priorities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills that are tactful and diplomatic
• Ability to communicate & collaborate cross-functionally with all departments
• Comfortable working in a team setting to efficiently complete tasks
• Strong interpersonal skills - must be able to explain accounting details & concepts
• Committed to be respectful and courteous with your co-workers
• Committed to providing outstanding service to co-workers & clients
