This is a Part Time Job
The Oakland Athletics are currently seeking a seasonal, hourly Part-Time Spring Training Ticket Taker in Mesa, AZ. This position will report directly to the Spring Training Sales and Operations Manager and will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
• Provide patrons with quality service to enhance their game day experience.
• Responsible for verbally greeting guests, scanning event tickets with a handheld bar code scanner, direct guests to seating areas and monitor areas so that guests do not enter Hohokam Stadium with prohibited items or without a proper event ticket.
• Identify problems when/before they occur and quickly contact the supervisor to rectify the situation.
• Proactively assisting patrons with any questions or concerns they may have.
• Reporting any and all incidents to the Event Manager / Supervisor.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Must commit to work all ticketed Hohokam Stadium Spring Training events, including all Oakland A's spring training baseball games.
• Must be able to physically manipulate a bar code scanner and receipt printer.
• Must be 18 and over
• Maintain a professional appearance
• Ability to be friendly and courteous, regardless of the situation
• Effective verbal communication skills
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, walk long distances, and climb stairs
• Must be a team player who is able to work well in a fast paced environment
• Must be available to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
