VIDEOGRAPHER/EDITOR

We are currently seeking video shooter/editors to create unscripted video content as part of our mitú's Fellows Program. The ideal candidate will be a digital native who can create awesome, shareable content in a quick approach. The video department's mission is to articulate the young U.S. Latino experience in fun, compelling ways that people like and share. Analytics will be applied to our experimentation to push viral potential. The successful candidates will have experience writing, shooting and editing viral content.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a network of producers that will create original videos at scale. This role reports directly to the Director of Video
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Execute on formats and styles for social-shareable video content. Create 1-4 pieces of content weekly.
Follow mitu editorial brand, voice and mission across all content creation Participate video team brainstorms.
Work successfully and happily with tight budgets and deadlines. Reach metrics and performance goals for digital studio.
REQUIREMENTS:
1-3 years of experience creating shareable web video with a strongly defined voice.
Ability to create videos worthy of someone's share.
A great enthusiasm for the U.S. Latino experience and a deep understanding of the traditions, cultures and diversity among Hispanics.
Experience with experimentation. Comfortable being in front of the camera.
Ability to execute storytelling across comedy, drama and variety of genres.
Proficiency with DSLR cameras, sound, lighting equipment and entire production process.
Proficiency Adobe CS6 animation and stop-motion. Experience adding compelling graphics to videos.
Articulate video ideas in clear and concise presentations for other departments.
Understanding of audience development. Understanding of performance metrics and analytics. Bilingual is a plus.
