C3 Presents - Creative Merchandise Manager
As the Creative Merchandise Manger, you will lead the creative direction for graphic design and apparel development, ensuring that our merchandise reflects the spirit of our festivals and resonates with our audience. Along with creating your own artwork you will manage freelancers to bring a variety of graphics and artwork to the merchandise collections.
Responsibilities:
• Ideate and develop the creative for festival merchandise collections, aligning with the festivals brand identity and core audience demographic.
• Conceptualize and design compelling graphics, artwork, and illustrations for a wide range of merchandise, including apparel, accessories, posters, and collectibles.
• Collaborate with creative freelancers to manage artwork development for collections, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budget constraints, and communicate detailed creative briefs and revisions.
• Consult with legal to manage contracts and negotiate deal points with contracted artists.
• Work collaboratively with merchandise team to develop a final assortment while considering production deadlines and financial goals.
• Collaborate with brand partners to develop creative elements for co-branded merchandise.
• Prepare and format artwork to be production ready, including tech packs and print files for signage.
• Facilitate the development of product information and creative assets for product launches and align with external departments to develop launch strategies around festival collections.
• Oversee product photography and video for use online, on signage and in marketing materials.
• Assist in the planning of store layouts and facilitate visual store layouts when necessary.
Qualifications
• 3+ years experience in graphic design, apparel design or creative direction.
• Technical proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong understanding of branding principles, typography, color theory, and visual story telling.
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and ability to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge and understanding of fabrics, construction and print techniques.
• Experience in Retail Sales, Ecommerce, or Visual Merchandising
• Ability to travel and work non-traditional hours.
