New Play Development & STAGE MANAGEMENT INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION:
Fall 2009 and Spring 2010
Fall and Spring Stage Readings, Teen Shakespeare and Professional Showcases and performances.
NEW PLAY DEVELOPMENT and Stage Management INTERNSHIP
Actors Movement Studio Conservatory & New Vaudeville Theater -An exciting new play development workshop provides space, time, and support for projects ready to move beyond a staged reading, but that require further development and exploration prior to full production. Interns will assist in pre-workshop tasks, including marketing, fundraising, casting and PR. They will also be integrated into the workshop process as a production/directing assistant. Interested candidates should have a passion for new play development and an interest in the field of literary management. Time commitment will be 15 hours/week with a slight increase during the actual workshop period
An internship in Stage Management the intern will have the opportunity to work from pre-production through the final performance for Some of the duties an intern can expect to complete include assisting with pre-production responsibilities, attending rehearsals and production meetings, production paperwork, operating technical and other backstage elements during performances.
Must be detailed oriented Hands, on aboe to work in a fast pace environment, able to work long hours on days of evening rehearsals.
