Successful entertainment audio technology company is seeking a highly experienced and motivated sales engineer to help us take our growing company to the next level. We are revolutionizing sound for films, television, radio, and gaming, and seek a sales professional with a background in technology, preferably for the entertainment industry (sound engineering and/or post production a ++).
The successful candidate will be working with our customers and clients at the major film studios, recording studios, post-production facilities, and gaming companies to introduce them to our groundbreaking surround sound technologies. SUMMARY
The Sales Engineer is responsible for sales activities in the Los Angeles region and beyond. Manage quality and consistency in sales and delivery of all the company’s products and services.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the COO, the Sales Engineer will:
• Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients.
• Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made.
• Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
• Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
• Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts.
• Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
• Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
• Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract services.
• Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up.
• Identify and resolve client concerns.
• Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
• Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
• Maintain close communications with the Marketing department to establish and maintain product branding and increase sales.
• Coordinate part-time sales teams to accomplish the work required to close sales.
• Develop and implement special sales activities to reduce stock.
• Other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and other marketing events.
• Follow-up for collection of payment.
• Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery of merchandise and services.
• Provide on-the-job training to future sales employees.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's Degree and three to five years of sales or marketing experience preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in the professional film, television, and/or music entertainment industries, preferably as related to the technical aspects of audio production/post-production.
• Experience in licensing technologies.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to develop and deliver presentations. Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials.
• Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques.
• Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.
• Work requires significant local travel to current and potential clients.
• Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel.
