Job Description:
Responsible for representing (KCEC/KVSN) Univision and (KTFD/KGBH) TeleFutura stations as well as Radio Tricolor, Jose and Maria radio formats (KXPK-FM/KJMN-FM/KMXA-AM and KPVW-FM) in both Denver and Colorado Springs to spot sales offices and regional client marketing executives. NSM represents Entravision through Univision Spot Sales offices and Radio through Lotus Entravision Reps; and is involved in all areas related to new business development and TV/Radio/online sales, including research, promotions, copywriting, commercial production, credit and collections. Offers guidance with annual sales forecast and assists with annual budget plan. Candidate should reside in or be willing to relocate to the Los Angeles, CA area. Must be able to travel. Reports to the TV, Radio and Online GSMs.
Job Responsibilities:
• Responsible for achieving targeted monthly goals as listed in individual Business Plan/Account List
• Develops long term sales relationships with advertisers as well as increases spending levels of established clients
• Consistently seeks new business opportunities
• Maintains client data base weekly on Matrix software
• Keeps current advertisers as well as prospects informed about programming, pricing, packages, special opportunities, Hispanic market research and trends, and maintains frequent personal contact with spot offices, agencies and regional clients.
• Responsible for collection of accounts
• Provides forecast guidance on a weekly and quarterly basis
• Assists GM and GSMs in preparing annual business plans
• Represent Online, Univision and Telefutura and Entravision’s Radio properties in a professional manner
• Maintains organized files, paperwork and history of individual accounts
• Cultivates networking to increase business opportunities
• Cultivates and maintains positive professional relationships with advertisers, support team, and co-workers
EDUCATION: College degree in broadcasting, marketing, business, journalism or liberal arts preferred, but will consider experience in lieu of education. At least five (5) years media sales experience and proven sales record required.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Good people skills are essential. Excellent spoken presentation skills are necessary. Good writing skills and knowledge of Spanish and Hispanic market a plus. Excellent business etiquette.
TECHNICAL: (Computer/typing/ etc.) Microsoft Windows applications, OSI Traffic Systems, Scarborough, Matrix, CMR. Extensive Nielsen/Arbitron ratings knowledge required.
OTHER: Must be able to work independently with little supervision setting own schedule.
Strong organizational and good follow-up skills necessary. Must be able to work under pressure and within deadlines. Good problem solving and analytical skills are a must.
