Position: Software Developer
Division: Systems/Operations

Founded in 2000, ishlab™ Music is a full-service music recording and production studio in the heart of DUMBO, Brooklyn, NY. Our team of dedicated DJs and engineers provides audio sensory services to enhance brand experiences for commercial clients. We are expanding our services to offer music programming and licensing under the name ishlab™ iD.
Position:
As we continue to expand and evolve, we are striving to maintain a niche brand, high-quality product, and premium customer experience. ishlab™ iD is expanding its Technical Operations and is looking for an experienced software developer to build and maintain a fully-integrated digital music database.
We are looking for candidates with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and who are comfortable working in a loosely structured, highly creative environment.
Key Skills & Attributes:
• Write server-side code for web-based applications, create robust high-volume production applications, and develop prototypes quickly. You should also have a strong understanding of, and practical experience with, Java web application development.
• Build our platforms, systems and networking infrastructure using your strong background in distributed systems, OS/kernel, network system design, and large scale storage systems.
Qualifications
Education:
BAS, BSE from a top engineering program, concentrating in systems or computer science, with interest in music and knowledge of digital music programming.
Professional:
• Minimum 3-4 years in systems administration, computer science
• Advanced systems and automation programming skills, with experience programming in the following languages: SQL, Java, C++, C
• At least 2 years experience with software development or deployment scripting, ideally in dynamic languages (like Ruby or Python)
• Strong knowledge of relational database concepts, client-server concepts, CRM concepts, Internet technologies and experience in computer and network security
