PURPOSE:
To expose college students to hands on experience assisting in the producing of show prep that is delivered to radio stations around the country via a blog, and the day-to-day operations of running an online business. You will gather valuable industry contacts, learn how to brainstorm ideas for execution on radio shows, post your own content that will be read by radio shows around the country and most importantly get your foot in the door.
INTERNSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Researching, collecting and organizing contact information from various media outlets.
*Research talent information (biographies, television show info., agent/manger contact info., etc.)
*Other research and administrative duties included making phone calls, scouring the newspapers, magazines and internet for blog content, searching for cool prize giveaways and creating a ''heads-up'' list of big future pop culture events.
*You may be required to attend various pop culture events including red carpets and movie screenings.
*Assist in brainstorming ideas
*Gathering audio via ''man-on-the-street'' interviews, archiving blog information.
*Posting content to the blog/twitter/facebook/etc.
*Additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
*No experience required, but a strong interest in radio, media and/or pop culture is a must. Journalism background with writing, blogging and editing skills a plus.
*Must be enrolled in an accredited college and be receiving academic credit.
*Interns work from home (except when attending an event) and internships require a commitment of at least 15 hours per week for a minimum of eight weeks. Schedule very flexible.
*As our business grows the chance for you to join our team increases.
*Access to Skype is a must.
