A Render/IO administrator is and entry level position responsible for hands on management of facility resources including Render Processors, Diskspace, and I/O. A Render/IO Administrator works closely with Digital Production Administrators (DPA) to ensure show priorities and facility guidelines are being met while working to meet optimal efficiency of Facility Resources.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage Render Farm utilization and efficiency
• Troubleshooting of technical render issues and escalate to proper support channels if necessary
• Move data on/off disk for Client deliveries or turnovers
• Administrate all I/O for tape restores and write outs
• Provide a first point of contact for general support within Production Services
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
• Production experience in computer animation, visual effects, or game industry preferred
• Experience with Maya or other 3rd Party Animation systems.
• Exceptional communication skills in dealing with both technical and artistic groups.
