PURPOSE: To facilitate Duplication, Off-air services, Transmission feeds, encoding material and PAL Conversion requests in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate VTR's, TBC's and all related duplication equipment.
Knowledge of waveform monitor, Vectorscope, patch bay and routing systems.
Provide trouble shooting of duplication audio and video signal paths.
Maintain technical and quality control for the duplication and off-air operations.
Operation of both analog & digital satellite and fiber feeds.
Ensure all dubs and feeds meet technical standards.
Additional duties as needed and assigned by supervisor(s).
MPEG2 encoding into an asset management system.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum 1 year previous experience in a duplications facility or a television station
Satellite and fiber transmission inbound and outbound experience preferred
Experience with standard conversion equipment also preferred
PAL conversion experience desired
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Must be detail oriented and accurate
Must be able to work midnight shift and/or weekends
Must be able to lift 5-10 pounds
Constant bending and stooping involved
STATUS:
Full-Time, Non-Exempt

$12-$14.00/hour
