Job Description:
Entertainment public relations agency in Los Angeles seeks an experienced publicity assistant for a full time position. Responsibilities include clerical work (answering telephones, administrative support duties, etc.), responding to media requests, organizing/managing publicity mailings, maintaining/updating media lists, and generally assisting with day-to-day office duties.
Job Requirements:
Candidates must have administrative work experience, preferably in public/media relations and should be motivated to develop a career in entertainment publicity – must want to learn how to write pitch letters, press releases and pitching news stories to press. A degree in journalism, public relations or English is preferred. The applicant should possess excellent writing/communications skills, be detail oriented, organized, personable and be able to handle multiple duties in a fast-paced environment. Strong computer skills are a must, specifically with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
