Our missions is to be a leader in providing postsecondary education programs that prepare students for careers in their chosen fields.
We are actively seeking a Career Services Advisor to help our graduates and students - artists, designers and creative professionals – to connect with industry employers. A Career Services Advisor develops employment opportunities for graduates via industry networking and involvement in professional organizations. This position actively coaches graduates and students on career search strategies, personal marketing, interview skills, self-promotion methods and materials. This position is also responsible for actively and routinely seeking employer feedback and researching industry trends. This position is also responsible for meeting quarterly placement goals, in addition to working with team members to meet overall department goals annually. Qualified candidates must have bachelors degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing, or related field, and two years experience in placement/search firm, career counseling or industry-related position, and at least one year experience in a marketing or field-related environment. Experience in the following industries strongly preferred: computer animation (with experience in the creative and/or production pipeline), feature film or television production, computer or video game design. Prior experience sourcing candidates as a recruiter, staffing specialist, or account executive a plus. Must also have excellent communication skills, including sales/persuasive abilities and the ability to build successful relationships with industry and graduates, and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Must be able to work effectively under pressure and to meet frequently occurring deadlines, be goal and team oriented and conduct business with attention to ethical considerations, employment law and school/accreditation guidelines.
