Universal Music Group is currently seeking a Director, Strategic Partnerships for the Santa Monica, CA location.
Interscope, Geffen, A&M is searching for a Director to join the Strategic Marketing department.
The ideal candidate is results oriented, possessing 6 -8 years experience in sponsorship development, branded entertainment, integrated marketing and/or advertising and partnership-marketing. Must be an energetic self-starter who is able to generate leads with brands and agencies, as well as develop integrated marketing programs which yield sponsorships for talent.
Responsibilities:
- Devise and write marketing proposals integrating sponsorship concepts for brands and talent. Must be able to generate unique ''out of the box'' ideas.
- Create dynamic custom presentations to sell the ''big idea'' to brands and agencies.
- Execution/project management of sponsorship programs including: event and production coordination, talent booking, creating collateral materials, Lisaing with record company personnel, band managers, agents, venues, etc. Oversee day to day activities that partner brands with artists through innovative integrations.
- Cultivate relationships with brands and agencies. Candidate must be able to prospect for new business, conduct cold calls and set meetings.
Qualifications:
- Deep understanding of integrated marketing with skill set and background in media disciplines including: traditional (i.e. TV, Print, etc.)and non-traditional (i.e. Social Networking, Online, Guerrilla, etc.) strategic marketing tactics, events, ''stunts,'' PR, etc.
- Excellent writer with proven track record creating and writing sponsorship programs yielding in sold programs.
- Ability to sell in ideas and negotiate contracts with clients.
- Must be highly organized, detail oriented, self-motivated with excellent writing and presentation skills.
-6 -8 years experience in sponsorship development, branded entertainment, integrated marketing and/or advertising and partnership-marketing.
College degree mandatory. Graduate degree a plus.
-Superior powerpoint skills mandatory and additional presentation skills such as video editing, flash, etc a major plus.
-Interest in entertainment and pop culture.
-Experience in event planning and coordination.
- Previous media sales experience a plus.
