Are you looking for a career in Media Sales with its unlimited income potential, creating and selling marketing programs to New York based companies? iHeartMedia Sales Associate Program will get you ready.
The Sales Assistant/Sales Associate will start with iHeartMedia as a Sales Assistant for 12 months, afterwards, if qualified, will move into the next level of Sales Associate. At the end of the program, it is expected that the Sales Assistant/Sales Associate, will be ready to become a full time, experienced Outside Account Executive.
The purpose is twofold: start out as a Sales Assistant to give you ample time to thoroughly learn the business of media sales and grow into the Account Executive position from within, and to retain these employees, creating an experienced and profitable Sales Staff.
Required Skills - Sales Assistant
• Data entry to include entering and confirming orders, processing order revisions and copy/scripts
• Execute digital sales insertion orders, track digital assets
• Daily air checks and spots times collected and sent to clients in a timely and efficient manner
• Prepare proposals and recaps for Account Executives
• Interact closely with Traffic & Continuity Department and Business Office to ensure smooth execution of sales orders, missing copy and establishing credit
• Research and lead generation
• Assist Sales Managers with preparation of presentations for bi-weekly Station Team Meetings
• Perform general administrative duties including filing and copying
• Relieve Receptionist when necessary
Second Phase - Sales Associate
• Job Shadow Top Account Executives at iHeartMedia
• Prospecting and identifying key potential advertisers
• Arranging and attending meetings with potential advertisers to identify their marketing requirements
• Customize and present integrated marketing campaigns to existing and new partners
• Monitoring and executing media campaigns
• Learn quantitative and qualitative research
Required Experience
Proficiency in MS programs including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Extremely detail-oriented
Excellent communications skills
4 year college degree preferred
