Position Overview
iHeartMedia Charlotte is currently hiring a FT Promotions Director for 2 local radio stations.
This person must be highly organized, highly motivated and willing to go the extra mile. We are looking for someone who understands multiple formats of music, is up to date with social media, and an exceptional team player with strong communication skills. This job is not your typical 9-5 office job, so you must be willing to work occasional nights and weekends.
Required Skills
Day to day contesting on the web and on-air
Understanding of rules and regulations for contesting and FCC laws
Managing a PT promotions staff, including a weekly promotions meeting
Meet with Sales Associates to formulate ideas for clients as well as execute those ideas
Organizing and coordinating major station events and on-site concerts
Meet with Program Director regarding station events, contests, and sales objectives
Flexible schedule/availability
Required Experience
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Minimum of 2 years of related experience
Experience in the media and/or radio industry
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Power Point, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Photshop
Highly motivated, proactive, resourceful, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams
Ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure while managing multiple tasks
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
Ability to work independently or in a team setting
