Position Overview
Work with VP's/Directors of Strategic Partnerships, Senior Campaign Strategist and Capture Manager to develop media strategy for partner campaigns. Media Strategist/Planner will be responsible for the planning and securing media for all campaigns, including negotiating third-party media, reconciling and trafficking. Negotiates with media companies to obtain the best rates and most appropriate media spaces in broadcast radio, outdoor, digital, social and other new media.
Responsibilities
• Building effective campaign plans using detailed media flowcharts.
• Securing and negotiating the best rates and terms for all types of media to support media plan.
• Keeps up to date with industry research figures, including audience delivery numbers.
• Monitors buying strategies; liaising and building relationships with clients and media sales companies.
• Collect and analyze sales and consumer data.
• Identify the target audience for a particular media campaign and decides how best to communicate to that audience
• Book all media using new and existing media partners
• Ensures advertisements run accurately so the desired media message is seen and heard by target audience.
• Prepares client reporting and budget management, including preparing costing for clients and producing spending updates throughout the campaign.

• Undertakes research using a wide range of specialist media resources
• Works on a wide range of client accounts at the same time, often juggling various projects and deadlines
Qualifications
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Microsoft Office Suite and standard computer proficiency
• Proficient and familiar with multiple sales and media scheduling platforms
• Understanding of media assets, terminology, and delivery reports
• Ability to plan and organize, set priorities and multi task in a fast-paced environment
• Persuasive communication skills: verbal, written and presentation
• Independent; self-motivated; competitive; assertive
Work Experience:
• 5+ years of media planning at major advertising agency
