Position Overview
The Manager, Social Media (Premiere) will oversee the social media strategy for Premiere Networks and its portfolio of nationally syndicated radio programs. They will be focused on growing the digital footprint of Premiere's shows/brands and on air personalities through social media outlets like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Vine, Snapchat, and many others. They will work closely with web producers and show teams to improve existing social content strategies. They will directly maintain multiple social content calendars and execute on social media for a roster of shows themselves. They will work very closely with the Editorial team to grow social referral traffic in the network. They will coordinate with the Sales department and the shows on branded content/sponsored social campaigns. They will also develop and be responsible for the social/curation strategy for Premiere Networks' brand and collaborate with the iHeartRadio social/marketing teams. This position is based in New York, NY.
Required Skills
Create the appropriate social mix & strategy for the particular audience of each show and grow social audience numbers.
Develop the voice used to communicate with fans of each show.
Produce new/original content to be used on social.
Contribute innovative content for posting on all designated social media outlets for Premiere Networks brand and multiple shows.
Advise others in the organization regarding brand and social media best practices.
Identify daily trends, conversations, and content angles that can be circulated to show teams for potential social engagement.
Develop creative online engagement tactics in cooperation with senior leadership, editorial, sales, and product teams in support of the marketing strategy and goals.
Oversee project workflow/content calendars to ensure all deadlines are met with accuracy.
Required Experience
At least 2 years of experience with Internet and social media platforms. Past experience in the entertainment, music or online space also preferred.
Knowledge of social networking platforms including, but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Vine, Snapchat, YouTube and Google+
Superior and persuasive communication skills, including the ability to proofread.
Possess a balance of creativity with good analytical skills.
The ability to work quickly with multiple tasks and shift gears on a dime based on priority.
Self starter, ability to work alone - but also across long-term, complex social projects
A healthy appetite for pop culture and entertainment
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Media, Communications or Journalism is preferred
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Photoshop Image Editing skills a major plus
iMovie/Final Cut video Editing skills a plus
