Position Overview
National Programming Platforms (NPP) is the internal heartbeat of iHM, providing core strategic & expert resources to help grow & manage the Radio & Digital businesses. The key areas of NPP are Programming & Ratings, Premium Choice & Premium Content, Talent Development, Artist & Music Industry Relations and the NPP Events & Theater business.
The NPP Events business produces & oversees all iHeartRadio Events - our large ''Tent Pole'' Festivals (iHeartRadio Vegas, Ultimate Pool Party, Country Music Festival etc), other smaller Festivals & Events including Radio/Record Label Music Summits, on-site activation and externally organized festivals & events, and management of the two iHeartRadio Theaters in LA and NYC. This area of the business has grown exponentially since 2011.
Required Skills
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting all financial areas of the NPP Business. The role will be split approximately 75% NPP Events (NPP Event Production, Theater West & Theater East and Entertainment Enterprises) and 25% on NPP Core (Programming & Ratings, Premium Choice & Premium Content, Talent Development, Artist & Music Industry Relations). This person will report to the Finance Manager of NPP Events with a dotted line report to the Finance Manager of the NPP Core & Theater business.
Support in the ongoing tracking & management of all Event P&L's including Tent Pole events, Summits, Theater Shows in LA & NY, Sales driven events etc
Support in monthly reporting & analysis
Key role in reconciling budget & forecast to actuals
Working closely with Accounting on month end accruals & tracking actuals
Involvement in payment/reconciliation of payments
Reviewing and reconciling payments before being sent to Accounts Payable, and ensuring correct coding on payables
Reconciling the system GL to the P&L's
Annual budgeting process participation
Working closely with the Event Production team within NPP supporting the Finance Manager as the finance business partner
Providing support to Entertainment Enterprises, a department within iHM that manages all our TV & Webcast production partnerships, including providing weekly & monthly reporting & analysis
Strategic analysis/deep dives on profitability, cost/sales effectiveness, assessing potential future events & other ad hoc analysis
Supporting the NPP Finance Manager on month end/forecasting work, Research and A&P management, as well as any other special project.
Required Experience
2 to 4 years of finance experience - accounting and analytical experience
Event production and/or TV production finance experience a plus
Strong quantitative & analytical skills
Mastery of Excel as well as a good working knowledge of Powerpoint and database application software
A real willingness to learn, to ''roll up your sleeves'' and dig into detailed numbers, reconciliations etc; attention to detail is also very important for this role as well as the confidence to ask questions and provide/challenge ideas
Proactive and able to balance multiple responsibilities and tasks as well as work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with accurate information - the NPP Events business is a very fast paced, ever changing business and can be a demanding environment at times
Professional presence with strong interpersonal & communication skills
Bachelor's Degree required
