Position Overview
The Creative Services Director will be in charge of writing and producing imaging for all cluster stations, and assisting Program Directors in day to day operations with all aspects of Programming, Promotions and Digital performance.
Responsibilities
• Write and produce imaging for iHM/Huntsville cluster stations and WDXB/Birmingham on a regular basis. Other stations in our region as needed
• Work closely with programming for NEXGEN maintenance: clock changes/structure, scheduling and setup of specialty programming, management of imaging, spots and other items within NEXGEN
• Voice-track midday shift on WTAK Mon-Fri
• Contribute heavily to cluster digital performance by maintaining a talent blog, and executing directives on social media
• Serve as backup production director
• Produce commercial production as needed
• Write liner copy for out of market talent for all stations
• Contribute as needed to company-wide imaging share groups
• Write liner copy for syndicated show talent
• Perform remote broadcasts as needed
• Attend relevant programming meetings as needed
• Attend sales meetings, and sales appointments with account executives as needed
• Assign and prepare gear/prizes/etc. for each talent for all remote broadcasts
Qualifications
• Previous On-Air experience
• Good copywriting skills
• Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Office suite, digital audio/video editing software, general knowledge
• Excellent organizational skills
PREFERED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ability to run live sound board for bands in our performance studio
• Expert level NEXGEN software knowledge
• 5+ years of On-Air experience
• Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Office suite, digital audio/video editing software (Pro Tools or at least Adobe Audition)
