Do you love warmer weather? Do you crave a house with a porch? Do you want to work out of a converted biscuit factory with an on-site ice cream shop, beer warehouse, farmer's market, and nationally recognized restaurants? Do you have a soft spot for old houses, vintage shopping, and Dolly Parton memes? Country Living is looking for a whip-smart, enthusiastic assistant digital editor to join its integrated print-digital team. This position will contribute lifestyle content, writing both newsy and evergreen stories for digital, pitching ideas for both the site and the magazine, assisting with research for bigger packages, and providing administrative support to the CL editorial team as needed. What you'll do
• Pitch and write multiple digital stories per week, including news posts, slideshows, listicles, expert-based articles, and more
• Pitch both print and digital stories
• Assist with administrative tasks (including contract generation and invoicing tracking) for the CL team
• Some editing, as needed
• Work with our SEO team on audience strategy and development
Who you are
• You have at least one year of professional, post-grad digital editorial experience, ideally in the lifestyle space
• You understand SEO, analytics, social media platforms, and best digital practices
• You're curious, willing to roll up your sleeves, and keep pace with the constantly-evolving digital landscape
• You're able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and juggle many deadlines at once
• You have a bachelor's degree
