About the Role
This role supports the day-to-day operational needs and workflow for Gunpowder & Sky's Ventures team, which manages the sci-fi and horror brands: DUST & ALTER. The Coordinator will oversee the filmmaker onboarding process through to release and title delivery for licensed content and shorts. The candidate will QA delivery, handle metadata and support the Manager of Content Operations in data archiving. The candidate will assist with OTT and VOD deliveries through ingesting, logging, organizing and uploading content to various sites, CMS' and remote platforms.
Responsibilities
Onboarding and ingest of new content, both FAST and Socials
Delivery & Upload of prepped content
Filmmaker management and communication
Website updates
Ad-Hoc duties
Server support - lead clean ups and maintain material organization
Ventures Onboarding and Ingest: DUST and ALTER licensed content and shorts filmmakers: Inbound delivery:
Inbound Delivery and Asset ingest for approximately 10-15 films on an ongoing basis.
Communicate and guide the filmmakers & licensors through the delivery process step by step, providing clarity and solutions to any follow-up questions.
Set and enforce delivery timelines with filmmakers & licensors
Handle asset and metadata traffic across servers and ensure files are properly organized via a comprehensive file structure and logged into the database
Soft QA upon receipt of newly onboarded materials (A/V assets, music cue sheets, graphics, captions, etc), flag & resolve issues.
Work with in-house editors to troubleshoot and address QA issues with A/V assets; communicate any issues with legal deliverables, looping in appropriate stakeholders as necessary until ingest completion
Assist Community Manager with notification emails.
OTT and Special Deliveries:
Delivery of final FAST and Short OTT assets including video, caption, artwork, and metadata
Periodic delivery of AVOD assets to platform specification
Ad-Hoc/Rare:
Track licensing and programming subscriptions across creative team
Website updates across ALTER, DUST and G&S: maintain, and update branding elements across web platforms, integrating into a larger content ops system
Assist with periodic retrieval and return of original filmmaker master files & liaise with encoding house
Skills and Knowledge
1-2 years relevant experience
Great communicator, can follow a workflow and timeline; Detail oriented & organized; Problem solver and operationally minded;
Able to learn and adapt to new programs confidently, experience with Synology Servers, Signiant Media Shuttle, Airtable; .tar files, Amazon Glacier, Amazon Deep Glacier a plus;
Familiar with encoding houses (Mojo, Blu, Deluxe, Giant, Passion River, Kino)
