Hybrid creative agency & production company in West Hollywood is seeking a qualified & experienced post production coordinator to assist in all facets of pre- and post-production. We are a full service agency & post house that specializes in videogame marketing & advertising. We are equal parts edit, game capture, live action, and mograph. Some of our projects incorporate all four. Most of our projects are short-form.
To be considered, candidates MUST have strong technical and organizational abilities. Individuals must be eager, stellar communicators & team members, organized, and most importantly, problem solvers. The person in this role will ensure the smooth operation of the editorial department & graphics department, coordinating our productions from kick-off, scheduling, and ingest …to finishing & delivery …through archiving. Your main mission is to make the creative shine from start to finish… Retaining the integrity of the image along the way.
Core Qualifications / Requirements:
o Very good organizational and project management skills required.
o Must love keeping all the tops spinning at all times & be able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
o Although this is not a creative role, it is pivotal in ensuring post-production budget is manageable, actuals are tracked, and that all deadlines are met. You will work with producers during bid & wrap phases to ensure that projects come in on time & on budget.
o High technical proficiency in FCP 7 & Premiere required. Must possess ability to troubleshoot any issues that pertain to various kinds of media or specs & call ''bs'' on current workflows.
o Sharp attention to detail in QC. You will perform quality control on all assets, renders, and masters. You will coordinate the delivery of finished materials to the end destination.
o Understanding of file-based HD workflows between editorial and color/Resolve, editorial and AE, editorial and ProTools, 3D workflows etc. Experience with XML project transfers between editing & design environments is necessary.
o Familiarity with various HD camera formats & associated transcoding workflow. (RED, Alexa, Canon D-SLRs, GoPro, etc.)
o Familiarity with professional and compression codecs a must.
o Familiarity with Mac OS, FTP clients, and Adobe Creative Suite, Maya, 3ds Max products.
o You will oversee hard drive purchases & manage the allocation & archive process here. Keeping editors & producers on top of archiving their projects is required.
o Ability to think independently and suggest/create workflows & systems to producers, editors & mograph designers is required.
Prefer candidates with:
o Contacts for go-to freelancers for craft positions, should our ''regulars'' need help.
o A general interest in gaming as you will be interfacing with our gameplay capture team and gameplay assets quite a bit.
o A Bachelor's Degree with a major in Television or Film production (from four-year college or university, or 3-5 years related experience (e.g., a television network, film studio, production company or advertising agency)
o General interest & geekdom with software & plugin solutions.
o Ability to convert media to editable formats and correct frame rates.
o Ability to make small text changes in AE or INDD.
o Familiarity with AJA Kona & Blackmagic hardware.
