We are looking for a Research Analyst to join our team in Los Angeles. As our Research Analyst, you will track and analyze the performance of FOX Sports cable and broadcast networks and contextualize that performance within the television marketplace. Duties include maintaining and updating ratings spreadsheets for sports properties on our cable and broadcast networks. Collaborate with others in the department to put out daily analyses of the performance of our networks. Run a variety of ratings reports to provide requested information to other members of the team or other departments at the company. In addition, you will develop an ability to analyze Nielsen data within the context of our networks and the competitive landscape.
A Snapshot of your Responsibilities
-Maintaining and updating ratings tracks for sports properties on our networks
-Running ratings reports on an as-needed basis to support various departments across the company
-Running reports to help support weekly updates to suppliers and league partners
-Create daily grids to accompany daily ratings reports
-Running system checks on our ratings software for the programmers on an as-needed basis for all streams of data and run updates to the system so that downloading can continually happen
-Running weekly broadcast sports event reports so OAP can compute the impressions generated by their promos
-Attend daily and weekly staff meetings
What you Will Need
-3-4 years' experience is required
-A Bachelor's degree is required
-Interest in sports is preferred
-A basic understanding of the Nielsen ratings system, a working knowledge of the television industry and the various functions of a network is required
-Familiarity with Nielsen software and STAR Media systems is a plus
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
-Ability to comprehend and analyze Nielsen Data
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook is required
-Experience with Excel macros is a plus
-Excellent detail orientation is imperative
-The ability to multitask and work efficiently under deadlines
-Good organizational and time management skills
