Full Time Job
As our Video editor + videographer, your role is to create engaging stories in collaboration with our marketing team. You'll employ various techniques such as in-person recording, video conference capture, and user submitted videos to share the stories of our teachers, students, and donors. Beyond content creation and editing, you'll be instrumental in shaping our video strategy, ensuring seamless planning, organization, and content optimization across all channels, with a strong emphasis on social media.
Location: Hybrid NYC
Own and execute our approach to video storytelling in long and short form content
• Direct and manage video projects from start to finish, including but not limited to teacher and donor interviews, employer sponsored events,, and student based content
• Complete post-production tasks which include reviewing footage, making editorial decisions, audio and music additions, and final editing
• Manage setting up/taking down lights, cameras and sound equipment for live video and photo shoots as needed
• Collaborate with our podcast producer to record and edit episodes for release
• Strategize and standardize our long term approach to engaging different audiences in alignment with our equity focus
Develop approaches for social media and tailor the content for the specific needs of each channel, working in close collaboration with our content and social media teams
• Create resources and guidelines to ensure consistency and scalability in our work
• Collaborate and brainstorm with diverse teams, including marketing managers, content leads, and product designers to elevate and harmonize the way we share our mission and impact
• Understand our audience needs and keep the work teacher and donor-centered
