Full Time Job
The Financial Analyst role specifically includes but is not limited to: assisting with financial models, actively participating in the compliance process for a portfolio of accounts, financial & trending analysis, revenue recognition support, and month-end close participation.
Responsibilities
Analysis
1. Assist with developing and maintaining complex financial models of revenue contract terms using multiple data sources
2. Assist with monthly Revenue/Subscriber Flux analysis
3. Analyze historical data to recognize and monitor relevant trends
4. Produce ad hoc analysis to service interdepartmental customers
Compliance/Audits
1. Assist in the monitoring of Affiliate compliance with new and existing legal agreements
2. Prepare documentation for affiliate audit process
Financial & Accounting
1. Participate in the accounting review of significant distribution contract renewals
2. Calculate, record and monitor revenue accruals and reserves, as needed
3. Prepare assigned account reconciliations
4. Participate in the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries
5. Clear review notes from management level reviews
Cross-functional collaboration
1. At times, may be required to work directly with FP&A, Global Business Shared Services, Technical Accounting, Sales and/or Legal to perform job functions
2. Work directly with Auditors (Internal/External) to provide information and fieldwork deliverables
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you need to have:
* BS/BA in related discipline from an accredited university
* 1-2 years prior work experience, internships inclusive
* Path to CPA required
* Must have the legal right to work in the United States
It’s a plus if you have:
* Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and critical thinking
* Advanced knowledge in working with complex spreadsheets and/or experience in robotics/automation
* Proficient in MS Excel, including advanced formulas and data analysis
* Experience with SAP and Blackline
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Embraces change driven by evolving business initiatives and maintains positivity when time-sensitive milestones shift
* Must be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional team members at all levels
* Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
* Ability to work efficiently, and design/implement process improvements
* Highly organized and able to execute priorities effectively
