WGN-TV is looking for a full-time experienced sports producer to work in the production department on live sporting events and other projects.  Sports producer will be the associate producer on various WGN game telecasts, handling graphics and other duties.  Additionally a variety of duties outside game production will be assigned.

Minimum three years game/truck experience is a must.  Game production experience is a plus since producing games will be a part of the job. Excellent writing skills, experience in video-editing software, such as Final Cut Pro and Internet content management systems are also a plus.  Additionally, qualified candidate must be willing to travel extensively.

Responsible for local sales revenue for assigned team insuring all billing and market share goals are being met.  Develop and maintain relationships with clients.  Create new streams of revenue, guide prospecting for new sport dollars, cross platform sales, internet and development of new business opportunities to increase current share and revenue.  Participates in the development of a planning process that produces acceptable operating plans and budgets. Bachelor’s degree in advertising or marketing or equivalent related experience.  Minimum requirement of 7 to 10 years experience in television sales with 5 or more years in top 10 market.  Requires strong analytical skills to analyze market conditions and package, price and sell available airtime. Must demonstrate knowledge of sales, research and agency operations in order to train, motivate, direct and evaluate the performance of staff.  Requires a thorough knowledge of the ratings and strategies of each station and competing markets. Must possess effective negotiation, oral and written communication skills to communicate with and influence internal and external contacts.    Strong knowledge of Scarborough and CMR and computer skills that include Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Credit & Collection Representative/Part-Time: Finance
Responsible for receivables' collections and account discrepancy resolution that requires attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness. Special projects will be assigned as needed. Requires two years undergraduate studies with emphasis on accounting, Business Administration, Communications or equivalent experience, plus two-four years credit and collection experience with knowledge of accounting practices. Must be able to efficiently operate a variety of office equipment including IBM compatible computer with spreadsheet function and customized software, Microsoft Office, typewriter and 10-key calculator by touch. Good interpersonal and telephone communication skills to effectively communicate regarding collections and account discrepancy resolution are necessary. Proficient knowledge of Encoda system a plus. News Writer: News
The Writer is responsible for all aspects of writing for WGN News Broadcasts. This responsibility includes writing stories and teases, working with reporters and photographers in the field, desk-top video editing, reviewing feed tapes, and gathering information on late stories. In addition to writing to the video and graphics available, the Writer will contribute creative ideas for the broadcast. Building Engineer: Engineering
Responsible for the proper and continued operation and maintenance of building mechanical, ventilation and electrical equipment and systems necessary to maintain a safe and satisfactory working environment that will sustain and preserve assets and ensure continued broadcast operations at WGN-TV.
