STUDIO TECHNICIAN
WBZ/WSBK-TV has an immediate opening for a Studio Technician for fast-paced newscasts, sports, and other special programming.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for pre-show testing and general maintenance, distribution, and operation of studio equipment (i.e., wireless mics and IFBs)
• Operation of manually operated prompter equipment during newscasts
• Act as liaison between ELC Director and talent, and stage directing
• Responsible for pre-show testing and general maintenance of a wireless video system (when installed)
REQUIREMENTS:
• Previous studio production experience is required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Must be a motivated and organized personN
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and leadership qualities with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks is a must
• Excellent people and communication skills
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
• Experience with various production control room roles (TD, audio, etc.)
• Proficient at receiving satellite, microwave, and bonded cellular transmission
• Knowledge of video and audio servers
• Excellent computer skills and knowledge of iNews is preferred
